Capture IT! is a capture utility that captures live video frames from QuickTime compatible video hardware to local TIFF files. Also has the capability of doing time lapse capture from tape machines video.

This does not take stills from existing Quicktime movies, but takes video stills captured over firewire video devices or from other Quicktime compatible hardware.
